last night was an old friend's senior recital and i am filled with joy i went. even as i was walking up to the door, my mind was screaming with all the reasons not to attend--none of the reasons having to do with him. i haven't seen him for a while. another friend that was there, for almost seven years. i forgot how beautiful they both were, they all are--my friends. the music was beautiful when he gave it life, but his face while he was performing was even more beautiful. he is one of the loveliest spirits. i want more nights like these.
